Induction programme - Reception
Starting school is a momentous occasion, and our aim is to help you to prepare your child for the transition into school routine.
If you are considering bring your child to our school you may bring your child to look round at any time. Just give us a call on 01675 463672 or drop in when you are passing.
Once we are informed by the LA that you have put our school as your first choice on the application form we will begin our induction programme. This starts with informal drop-ins where you and your child can have a look around whilst the current Reception class are working.
During July we have an induction morning for children. It is important that your child comes on this morning so that we can meet them and so they can meet their peers. Parents/Carers are welcome to drop their child off for the hour, or stay and play if required.
We then have an evening meeting for all Reception parents which is an opportunity for you to find out all the details about your child starting school and to ask any further questions you may have. This meeting is aimed at informing adults and whilst we are happy for you to bring your child, we recommend you make alternative arrangements on this occasion. You will be given an information pack during the evening and school uniform will be available for you to purchase.
If your child is at a Nursery, please could you let us know so that we can arrange a visit to play with your child at their Nursery.
We look forward to meeting you, and to continuing your child’s journey in education together!

Integration with High Meadow - Year 2 to Year 3 (KS1 - KS2)
A number of joint events take place during Year 2 to to enable children from High Meadow school and Coleshill C of E Primary school to get to know each other. You will be kept informed of these through letters sent home with the children. The final event in the summer term is a dinosaur themed day which takes place at the Coleshill School, and gives children the opportunity to create artwork, carry out experiments and spend time together - see the pictures below.
